Fan Dance 101: The Basics
Get those fans into your hands with Deanna Danger’s "Fan Dance 101!"
Interested to add fan work to your repertoire, but not sure where to start? This one-hour class instructs students on the basic foundations of fan work. Understand fan mechanics, learn how to hold, manipulate and tease with smooth ease, plus take home strengthening techniques to build muscle stamina for continued fan work.
No experience required. Some fans will be provided, but students are encouraged to bring their own pair.
About your instructor:
Deanna Danger, “The Burlesque Bard,” is a traveling performance artist & host, producer, instructor, model, actor, comedienne, Witch, and activist. They’ve spent the better part of the last decade teaching others how to shimmy, shake and perform “The Art of the Tease” as the founder and former Headmastress of Boom Boom Basics Burlesque & Performing Arts Studio in Richmond, VA. These days however, you can find Deanna either touring the country in their VW Burlesque-a-lade, with their signature high glam, high concept art, or keepin’ it real risque at Larry Flynt’s Hustler Club in their new hometown of St. Louis, MO. They’re the 2012 1st Place winner of the Pennsylvania Burlesque Festival, Richmond’s reigning, voted “Best Burlesque Performer,” and Richmond’s 2016 Entertainer of the Year.
